2015 - Enerfin Inc. Acquisition
Thermofin acquires Enerfin Inc., specializing in the design and manufacture of heat exchangers for the hydroelectric sector. Thanks to this acquisition, Thermofin, already known for its exceptional service, strengthens its position in order to increase its commitment to its customers.

2015 - National Board R Stamp
Thermofin is certified according to the National Board’s R stamp so that repairs or modifications can be made to all exchangers registered with the National Board. -
2013 - 4th Tube finning machine
Thermofin builds its 4th finning machine by incorporating many technological improvements that facilitate the production process and expand the range of finned tubes available. -
2013 - 20th Anniversary
Thermofin celebrates the 20th year of its operations and has now more than 100 employees ready to offer the best service to its customers. -
2011 - Press Conference of the Minister of Tourism
In February 2011, Thermofin welcomes the Minister of Tourism and Minister responsible for the Montérégie region, Nicole Ménard, for her press conference on Emploi-Québec’s professional perspectives for the Montérégie region. -
2009 - Excellence Award
Thermofin wins the Excellence Award for Best Manufacturing Company of the Year, the Excellence in Export Award, the Excellence in Human Resource Management Award and the Desjardins Roussillon Excellence Award for Entrepreneurship. -
2009 - New plant in Lévis (Québec)
Thermofin opens its 3rd plant in Lévis on the outskirts of Québec City. Part of the production, including the range of ITEX gasketed plate and frame heat exchangers, is transferred there. -
2008 - Launch of our plate and frame heat exchangers
Thermofin launches its new range of ITEX gasketed plate and frame heat exchangers. Thanks to a large inventory of plates, the company is able to offer delivery times as short as 24 hours. -
2007 - People's Republic of China Certification
Thermofin successfully passes the audit to receive the certification of the pressure vessels and can thus produce exchangers that will be installed in the People’s Republic of China. -
2007 - Launch of Cristopia
Following a partnership with the French company Cristopia, Thermofin now offers a reliable and efficient solution for the storage of thermal energy. -
2003 - 10th Anniversairy
Thermofin celebrates the 10th year of its operations and continues to innovate in order to better serve its customers. The company has now more than 60 employees. -
2002 - Manufacturing of the Year award
Thermofin is awarded the Manufacturing of the Year and Human Resources Management awards at the Roussillon Entrepreneurship Awards gala. -
2002 - 3rd Relocation
Strengthened by its success, Thermofin acquired the former Stork Canada plant and relocated its head office to 47 boulevard Marie-Victorin in Candiac. The finning machines and all tube production remain, however, at the Sainte-Catherine plant, located 10 minutes from the new head office. -
2001 - Launch of our Shell & Tube heat exchangers
Thermofin is successfully engaged in the design and manufacture of shell & tube heat exchangers, mainly for the petrochemical industry and the distribution of electricity (OFWF and ONWF transformer coolers). -
2001 - Vapor Fin Acquisition
Thermofin acquires Vaporfin Inc., specialized in the design and manufacture of steam exchangers and industrial ventilation grilles. This acquisition allows Thermofin to extend the range of products offered to its customers. -
2000 - ASME & National Board
Thermofin successfully passes the audit of ASME Division VIII Division 1 on pressure vessels. Its production sites are therefore certified according to the ASME U and UM stamp. At the same time, Thermofin is awarded the NB certification, enabling it to register the exchangers designed according to the ASME U and UM stamp to the inspection body of the National Board. -
2000 - ISO 9001
The Thermofin Quality System is recognized according to the ISO 9001 standard, which establishes requirements for a quality management system. -
1999 - Manufacturer of the Year award
Thermofin is awarded the Manufacturer of the Year award, the SME export prize and the Industrial Production Company of the Year award at the Rendez-vous de l’Excellence. -
1998 - Ste-Catherine plant expansion
With the arrival of the 3rd finning machine, Thermofin expands the Ste-Catherine plant and further increases its stock of tubes and aluminum profiles. This allows Thermofin to offer the best delivery time on the market. -
1998 - 3rd Tube Finning Machine
In order to meet the growing demand of its customers, Thermofin builds a third extruded aluminum tube finning machine. Consolidating its position on the market, the 3 machines allow the compagny to produce and deliver the finned tubes quickly and respond even more effectively to the demands of its customers. -
1997 - CSA B51 Certification
Thermofin successfully passes the audit of CSA B51, the Canadian standard governing pressure vessels. Thermofin is therefore able to affix the Canadian Registration Number (CRN) on its exchangers. -
1996 - 2nd Tube finning machine
Strengthened by the success of its first machine to manufacture extruded aluminum finned tubes, Thermofin designs its second finning machine to increase the range of finned tubes available to its customers. -
1995 - 2nd Relocation
Thermofin continues to grow and the decision to build a new building is made. 1 year later, in April 1995, the company moved to its new location at 1560 rue d’Amour in Sainte-Catherine. -
1994 - 1st Tube finning machine
Thermofin built its first finned machine and began production of its famous extruded aluminum finned tubes. -
1994 - 1st Relocation
Because of its rapid growth, Thermofin needs more production space and moves to 985 1st Avenue in Ste-Catherine. -
1993 - 1st Location
That’s where it all began, in a small room at 10 avenue Liberté in Candiac. Thermofin designs and manufactures RCP alternator coolers, which will later be renamed ELECTRA, as well as ISTEAM steam coils.
